Lupine-Lubec, Maine

12 x 24 - Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas

Still poking on this one, but more or less this is done. This was from our trip to Maine this summer. This property was the next one over from our house. We were right down on the water. I was thrilled that the Lupine were still out. They are absolutely one of may favorites. I think what I love is they are roadside everywhere, in fields full of them, all over the place....And they are just such strong, bold, beautiful flowers.
I felt like this composition was a little unconventional, but it did capture the roadside feel of the lupine that I love. I don't know if others will see it that way.
