It's nice to be back! It's been a while since I have been on here. My blog is going to have a slight change of content for a little while, but I still think it will be fun!
Due to time constraints (a newborn) I won't be able to paint as much for a while. Also due to time constraints (said newborn), my husband and I won't be going on dates or traveling much. So I decided to take a new direction with this blog.
Here goes! My husband and I always laugh at how many trips we have planned that have never happened. We love to travel, but have never had the finances to do anything more exotic than places within a few hours from home. So we have planned trips, bought guide books, picked our hotel, and even our room, and researched plane tickets with the sincerest intentions of actually taking these trips. The result? Well inevitably we don't go. Something comes up financially and we can't. So we have a wonderfully eclectic book shelf of travel guides, that SOME day might get used.
So, I was thinking the other day, that since we can't travel for a while, and we can't even have dates for a while, that my husband and I should "travel" from home. Each week we will set aside date night, get the kids in bed ON TIME, and hunker down with the computer to "plan" our next trip. We will even cook our meal based on where we are going. We figure, this way we can travel all over the world and get our quality time together! And we actually can travel, we will have a TON of research done to decide where we actually want to go.
Each week I will post where we went, tell you where we chose to "stay", what food we ate (and I will post recipes if we actually cooked), art galleries we visited, historic spots, etc. And I would LOVE to hear from YOU if you have comments on anywhere I blog about or anywhere you think we should visit.
I'm open to traveling domestically, but for starters would love to get out of the country! Any ideas? Where do YOU think we should start?
And I will still post paintings from time to time, and I am sure before long I will be posting paintings regularly again!
Better get my passport!

It's probably obvious, but... Paris! Wonderful food, romance, history, art.... laid back... hey, we were married 30 years before we got there, but it was worth it!
