Paris...

Painting this was intoxicating...Paris...France...I had just made a small deposit in my newly opened European Dream account last week, before something happened that turned the account into an emergency fund for future use....The whole time I painted this I thought of the little apartment I had found in the south of france in a 500 year old town house for the tiny sum of $388 a week.  Cheap!  I have a friend who works for an airline....Crazy discounted ticket!  The whole dream was beginning to feel just a little more possible, a little more real, a tiny bit more tangible and the thrill made me catch my breath.  This trip is more than I can explain.  It's like my soul aches for it. And has for 20 years.  I don't understand what drives that ache.  It's not as if a trip to France could in any way be described as a neccessity.  And yet this feels this way.
