Art in the Barn was waaaay back in June, which feels eons ago after the crazy summer we have had! But this was my favorite piece for that show and I really wanted to share it. I meant to post it before I submitted it, but some wise sage once said "better late than never". I absolutely love these little guys, and it sold at the show. I finished painting it right before I dropped it off at the show, so I didn't get to live with it very long and I think a small part of me was disappointed that I didn't get to bring them home again!

Hubby has been working overtime in the last few months, so we NEVER see each other. Boy do I miss him :( Which means less family time together, but even less painting time. It's never far from my heart though, and I have a million canvases painted in my head :) We did just get back from Maine. It had been paid for months ago since this is something we plan a year in advance, so their was no financial stress while we were up there, all 5 of us actually got to spend 7 days together, we hiked a TON (the kids even did a 6 mile hike along the rocky coast with us!), AND I have fabulous pictures to paint from! If I ever have time to sit down and put them on my computer!
