12 x 12 Oil on Gessoed Paper
I plan on playing with this a little more...Mostly the fence....What a pain in the you-know-what that fence is....I find sometimes that what I think will be the easiest parts give me trouble...Ah well....This is Pemaquid Point in Maine...It is where my husband proposed to me...This painting was painted from a photo I took the next morning...It was COLD> We got up around 5 or 6 am, bundled up, and saw the sunrise for the first time ever...Sad isn't it? That I was 30 before I witnessed my first real sunrise! But it was breathtaking...The light was still on in the lighthouse. Painting this brought back the feeling, the crisp air, the smell, the joy at being newly engaged! And the memory of walking back to the hotel for hot chocolate....I like it...But being me I see things wrong with it! Of course!
