Ok I need help! I need people to tell me their first impression on which composition is better...This way cropped and square, or the the one in the previous blog? Help!

Hi Katie, Definately this one, it is much stronger. The diagonal lines support and direct the eye to the can, which is the main attraction/interest. In the other compostion the white areas are too dominate and take attention from the can. Excellent compostion, very strong! May I add your blog to my Favorite list of artist's blogs?

Hi, Katie! I really like this one - it focuses your attention on the 'focal point' - the can! Very lively and fun - how long have you been painting????

Yes, lower the light areas and let the can pop out. The wood is too light and busy since the can is the focal point. Try to use white VERY sparingly. It kills color.
