Hmmm-Title?

20 x 20 Oil on Canvas

Well it's "done"....I did this one for the Ipswich Art Show in September...I can see why so may artists do sunflowers! It was fun doing them all smooshed with the petals a little twisted instead of head on...I have used this cloth before, but I love the challenge of the folds with the geometric pattern. And I thought throwing in the glass would be a challenge too. Not sure if I got the glass quite right, but I think it is right enough that it gives the right impression. I hope? Now that I have used it twice I suppose I will have to retire it! I am actually pleased with this one...I don't have the uncertainty with this one that IHad with the last large one I did...I am not so witty with the titles and will have to think of something before I register for the show!

This came out very well, Katie! I love the light dark contrast of the background and the yellow flowers just pop. Great work on the tablecloth as well... no easy feat to get all that detail and the folds just right. I myself started a sunflower painting several weeks ago and it is also one with twisted petals. Hope I can get more time to work on it and do it justice as you have.
