My dear friend

Me and Su
Here is a picture of me and my friend and teacher Su Guest-McPhail. She was my teacher back in January when my husband bought me art classes at the co-op. It was wonderful few weeks, of fun converation and a lot of eye-opening. She is one of my biggest supporters (if not THE biggest) and always comes to my shows and gives me great encouragement and advice. She bought a painting last night, and I tried to give it to her but she wouldn;t let me. I did manage to give her a painting a few weeks ago, and I was very glad that she accepted it!
I know that I wouldn't be where I am right now if I hadn't met her. I always tell my husband that the best gift he ever gave me was not just the classes, but Su's friendship.
He and I always say that she is the hippest lady we know.....Hands down!
I would give you a link to her website but I don't think she has one up and running yet but I will check with her and post it here because her work is wonderful....
The reception was well attended. Many neat people, and wonderful food. A perfect summer evening. The kind that feels like one of the last of summer. You know when you can feel it, or smell it or something...Those evenings that are tinged something a little special because you know summer is coming to a close?
Well I am moving next week. We won't have internet for a little, and I definitely won't be ab;e to paint for a while, so I probably won't be posting much. But I will be checking back on everyone else.
I owe many people responses that have left me nice comments, but I havn't been able to get online much to so it. So a collective thank you, and I will be on the ball in a coupl e of weeks!

Your show looks great behind you! Are you moving far away? You should stay close to your teacher/friend and take another class from her this winter! I will keep checking in to see if you've been able to paint anything! Good luck with the move!
