Corner of Fairfield and Newbury Streets-Boston

24 x 30 Inches Canvas on gallery
Whew I finished a painting!!! FInally! Well sort of finished since I suspect I will poke at the people sitting a little bit. This painting was different in SO many ways. It was HUGE compared to other paintings I have done. The largest canvas by far for me. Which meant it took much longer for me. I'm used to sitting down and completing a painting in a day, tops two.
There was a LOT more detail than usual, AND I put people in! Ok, they are very sketchy abstract people but I tried! So they are definitely the one part I am imagine I will tinker with! Or maybe I should just remove them entirely. I don't know. But I do know that I am happy with it. Which I really needed!
This picture is crooked and there is a grey smudge that must have been on the lens of the camera over the watermelon basket.

Wonderful painting, so interesting. Bet this was complicated, so much detail.

WOW, this one is really well done!! I think the people are just fine... I wouldn't tinker with them at all. I really like all the color and detail... you've done a great job. :)

Hi Katie! This is beautiful and very ambitious I know it is really a change to approach a large canvas after painting small for a while! Kudos and never give up!!!!! I will be back

Thanks everyone! I was afraid the people looked cartoony without the details! The large size was a challenge, but a lot of fun!

Don't you dare let anyone discourage you from painting! Your paintings are great, and you're always developing and expanding. It would be a real shame if you stopped doing it.

This is really good. Don't ever stop painting. You're always developing and experimenting, and that's great because you don't limit yourself to one style. Don't let that person at your former job - a catty, foolish woman who made some dumb remark to get at you - deter you.

This is not so great. I do not see the appeal.

Well art is definitely subjective! There are many artworks that people don't see the beauty in that others love! :-)
I for one for one will never understand Pollack, yet his is the most expensive painting ever sold! Go figure!
