Life is a Bowl of Cherries!

12 x 12 Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas -$100 plus shipping

Sooo I took a detour today and painted something like my original style from when I first started painting a couple of years ago. I always felt, that of all my work, these still lifes with vintage fabrics were my most original. My most "mine". However, it wasn't until I started branching out to other styles that I began selling pieces and getting more positive feedback. While I love doind other things , I thought it would be fun to go backward and do one of these again!

And I got a package from Dick Blick today. Nothing is more fun than opening a box full of brand new art supplies! I feel like a kid in a candy store!

I Love it. Saw it tiny on Facebook and it just jumps off the page. I think this is YOU.

I've got to say, as much as I've enjoyed seeing your paintings evolve, I also just recently thought to myself that I missed these types of paintings that drew me in. They are so definingly your own style. But at the same time where we start is just the beginning of where we end up. Still wonderful though!

Beautiful! Always loved your food/fabric paintings. They're "happy" pictures! Not being an artist, I don't understand how you make the cherries look so luscious and do the texture of the fabrics so well.
