I haven't had time to sit down and paint this past week, so here is a quick one I did tonight to work on my whites and greys....
I took a bunch of pictures of these little birds when we first moved here last year. I walked along the beach and snapped a whole bunch, they were so cute. Then, while walking back, I saw signs along the dunes saying don't chase or follow them as they are very timid, and endangered! I felt like such a dope! So these are the first and last pictures I have of these birds!

Is this a Tern? I confess I've scurried after them for a good photo (never got one), not realizing I was probably terrorizing them! Oh NO! I have to tell you how good the water is - I was in the next room after looking at this, and just glanced up towards the computer screen and saw this and (forgetting where I'd been surfing) said to myself "Wow - that's great water - I wonder who did that?" And :) it was you.

I love this little guy...he's totally all business doing his "tern" thing...strutting along the shoreline.
