8 x8 Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
Here are some donuts I picked up in Saugus, MA at Kane's Donuts. I met Paula Villanova there last week and grabbed some of these to take home and paint. I am amazed I got a decent picture before the kids devoured them! I haven't done as many of these still lifes in the last few months. I am not sure how this turned out the way it....The background just felt kind of fun and funky....I had been looking at Ed Carson's site again. He has the best composistions, loose, edgey still lifes. Maybe I will attempt another one soon and see if I can get more like his style.
I am not putting a lot of the new ones in the store because I have so many shows coming up, but if you are interested e-mail and I will let you know if it is available!

Wow, this turned out great! The background makes it feel a little Van Gogh-like...it gives it a little action (if donuts can be active!). Now I need to go back and get more!
Delicious! Great color.
I plan on taking a trip up to visit you when I come home from Florida. I've put it off too long.
