Funky Coffee

I love this! I am really happy with it. I miss doing my retro fabrics from my early paintings so I tried to infuse a little of that in the background. The fun of this painting is that I really challenged myself. To keep a loose, funky feel I sketched ONCE. No touch ups, I forced myself to paint as is, even if the perspective and scale weren't quite right. Then I painted only matching light to light and dark to dark. So where there was a dark grey in the photo I used purple. I white highlight, lime green. I wish the photo came out better because the actually piece is a lot more fun in real life!
