With all the Crane Beach paintings I have been doing I think it has become evident that I am desperate for some real, actual (consistent) hot weather! :-(
The top was a a practice piece for the bottom. I completed the bottom yesterday. It is almost exactly the same compostion as my previous "Big Sky", other than a different cloud formation. I took some pics of people at the beach on Sunday (unbeknownst to them) and I debated lining the beach in the bottom picture with umbrellas and such. Only problem is they would have to itty bitty. And when I was done I kind of like the simplicity of the empty beach. Not sure what I will end up doing......
Art in the Barn reception is tonight, and I am so excited. Except for the dismal weather forecast!
