"Portrait of an Antique Fan"

13 x 13 Oil on Gessoed - SOLD
This little fan is so fun! I love it...I got it a couple of years ago at an antique store, and the thing has a life of its own... I plugged this in the first time I used it and the thing nearly took off. It sounded like an airplane and began moving across the counter! Provided you use rubber drawer liner underneat it so it doesn't fly off the counter, this little fan is surprisingly effiient. But most of all it looks great! I should have called this one "Ready for Take Off!". I think I may do another one with this fan...Maybe a different composition...

Katie, this is charming. Love the fabric-----the way you do wrinkles and folds.

Oh dahlin' please accept my heartfelt condolences. Four generations. How wonderful!
She looks happy to be with her girls.
Hey, I was just on Georgiana Ewing's blog and there was your comment about your little Yankee (in Red Sox Nation) Fan who is above caring because she's pretty secure in herself. Love that.
BTW, Katy, she's 8. Still young enough. She'll be a card carrying member of Red Sox Nation before you know it! You and the hubby will have on the Yankees caps :)
You go girl!
PS, Forgive me please if this turns out to be a double post. I had a bit of trouble with the word verification 'code' :D
