"Tipsy Fiesta Bowls"

16 x 20 Oil on Canvas- SOLD

I really enjoyed doing this. I never use canvas, because I usually have trouble with it. Not sure why just a preference. I find it hard to get the detail I can get with paper. So I decided to opt for the canvas and the large size to challenge myself. This is definitely the largest size I have done, and I love the impact! It was really neat forcing myself to fill the whole space...I took a picture of it in my kitchen so you could see the size, and my messy counters in the background. Oh well! I was too busy painting that day to clean!

Nice work, Katie May!!! I like how you made them larger than life, and I love the pattern on the napkin, too. And, my dear, messy counters come with the territory! Go Go Go!!!

Terrific paintings...really enjoy your use of color and the looser abstraction of your most recent painting looks like a great direction for a painter like you to go. Have fun and good luck with your upcoming show! Best, Janet
