Before I say anything about this painting, I have to give credit to Kelley MacDonald for inpiring me on the donut thing. She posted a wonderful donut painting a little while ago. The sugar and the jelly are perfect. And I can't come anywhere near to doing it as well as her, so hopefully she won't mind!
I thought this arrangement was perfect for these new canvases. I have another painting set up from before the canvases arrived and I just couldn't wait to use these, so hopefully I will get to it next! I have really been all over the place with subject matter this week!
I was torn on whether to include the Logo in the background. It smacks of commercialism, and yet it does lend a good graphic detail I suppose. Anyway hubby likes it, so I left it!
It was very hard to paint these because my husband and I are on a health kick so the whole time I wanted to run down to Dunkin Donuts and grab some.

I like that you included the colorful logo. Whenever I go to DD's, I'm struck by all the pretty colors of their donuts which I think you have captured effectively. I also like the layout on the shape of canvas you chose. It makes it thoroughly yours.
Mmmm.. wish I could have a donut right now! I love this on the vertical convas - very cool! The Krispy Kreme one is good too but I like this one better :)
