Well, I guess I can't stray from color too long! It's so fun seeing all these fabrics that have been in my closet for so long getting the spotlight in these paintings! I am actually running out and have to start scouring the flea markets for more. Went to a huge flea market this weekend but couldn't find anything. Apparently it opens at 5 am, so when we got there at 8:30 it was cleaned out. Don't know how people go to a flea market at 5 am. Do they bring flashlights? :-)
On to the next one!

Nice work I linked from Amy Sullivan's sight where you left a comment about her most recent posting about my work. If you would like I have a blog at www.greigspaintingaday.blogspot.com Keep painting!
thanks for coming by my site, and yes Wayne Thiebaud was a major jumping off point. Him, the everyday images of Hopper and Thomas Hart Benton and the impressionists, mainly Monet and Manet.
Hi Katie May, I really like the comfort that your old fabrics bring to your paintings.
