Boston Skyline (well partial)

I am so insanely close to being done on this. It drives me nuts to leave it this close. But my toosh fell asleep, and my eyes are crossed from all those little windows! Hubby is in Idaho this week, so I painted late tonight....Actually I believe he is sitting enroute to Boise in Phoenix at the moment. The logic of airline routes never made sense to me. Why would you fly southwest to get to Idaho. Anyway I will get a lot of painting done this week cause he's gone...
I took this photo on the way back from visiting Mary Sheehan Winn and Kelley MacDonald last week. It was as I was coming into the tunnel in Boston and the sun was just right that the windows were all lit up. I took some creative license obviously with all the color. It was funny though cause I took the picture as I was driving. So traffic is slow but moving, and I am trying to dig in my enormous purse for my camera with one hand, then open my camera case (with one hand), drive, then take the picture while pretending I am not taking a picture because I am afraid that the people in the car next to me are going to think I am some wierd stalker lady trying to actually take a pic of them! Ah well I will finish it tomorrow! THen I have new one I am really excited to do!

It was such a treat seeing you at Open Studios!
I do the same thing when I'm driving and even have this same shot coming FROM the North Shore.
Sometimes I hold the camera on the dash in front of me to shoot while I drive, hoping no one will notice. BUT, they are probably all getting faxed and chatting on their cell phones , anyway ;)
This is a beautiful painting. You are better than you think you are. You go girl.
